Language is the exclusive manifestation of intelligence. Guy Lapalme (RALI Lab at Université de Montréal) reminded us that the interface is vital to the communication and storage of ideas, contracts and correspondence between humans. From the very onset of computer technologies, artificial intelligence has been applied extensively in the field. Among the various tools developed by his lab, the largest of its kind in Canada, Mr. Lapalme presented the one designed to improve translator productivity.
