Hervé Fischer (Research Artist, CIAM and Hexagram ) then got everyone’s attention by stating, right off the bat, that 3D does not exist. Virtual representations are more closely linked to the information environment than they are to geometry. We must go beyond spatial metaphors and start focusing on temporal ones where the concept of real time has influence over our notions of information. Information and the interface, held in check from the beginning by the limitations of print, mass media and 2D monitors, are now free to interact with time, random human reactions and, in the very near future, all our senses.
