About this demo-conference

[In French]

An in-depth look at the impressive e-Cité project set up by the City of Montreal in 2002. Jean-François Brucel showed us the many interactive tools now available to citizens and municipal officials. One especially interesting demonstration revealed how efficiently the #311 call centre presently handles services through the network.

« Our vision from the beginning was for a Web portal that brings citizens and their local government closer together. It gives them a maximum of pertinent information, develops an interest in civic participation through the virtual municipal council, and promotes transparent government by uploading city publications such as bylaws, cultural brochures, job offers and tender calls. »

Jean-François Brucel – Advisor, Info-Highway, Division des relations avec les citoyens, Ville de Montréal
