About this demo-conference

[In French]

Research into IMS technologies has been making significant strides. These technologies now allow us to use various communications formats (voice, images, sound, video, etc.) and to develop “pervasive” networks using sensors. There are many applications for these technologies in health, telephony, gaming and public security.

“The interesting thing about IMS is that it provides an interaction standard based on an Internet protocol [...] One of the basic protocols is called SIP. [...] Due to the fact that it is an Internet protocol, and that all networks are being geared towards complete IP network solutions, interaction between heterogeneous networks is now possible.”

Pierre Boucher – Director Research and Innovation, Ericsson
