3D digitization in the arts and multi media applications

View the presentation [In French]

Presentation of the laser scanning technology in arts and multi media. For conservation in museums, authorized replicas, gaming and simulation (special effects, animation), 3D digitization brings new possibilities. Reducing cost, time to transfer to or create in the 3D environment and handling, 3D laser scan allows for fast and accurate 3D imports from physical geometries to the virtual platform, be it in mechanical drawing softwares (CAD), rapid prototyping, animation (Maya, 3D Studio, SoftImage), etc.

Graduated from Sherbrooke University in Mechanical Engineering, Stéphane Galibois started his career at Pratt & Whitney Canada as a Development Engineer. Later, he joined Rolls Royce Canada as a team leader in the Development and Applications Department. At Creaform for almost 4 years, he was project manager, Program manager before being Director of the Canadian Business Unit.
