Digital TV-the tail wagging the dog!

View the presentation [In French]

Digital television is promoted as an improved version of analog TV. What is improved? Image quality (HD)?Sound quality (5.1)? Program quality (more channels)?Oddly, the transition to digital offers many more unforeseen possibilities and opportunities than perceived at first glance. The real attributes of DTV are not limited to superficial improvements in quality. Who stands to benefit the most from this? Viewers or those who are working hard to implement it? Who really controls the remote?
