WiMAX is more than another buzzword, it is a new wireless technology based on the IEEE 802.16 standard providing broadband wireless access service. It can extend or replace the wired systems such as DSL or cable modem and will ultimately bring broadband data into your hand. Designed to be very competitive compared to other wireless technologies, WiMAX will contribute at making the broadband data more accessible.
