As free software, Blender brings a dynamic and a philosophy unique to computer animation. An effect of this dynamic is the promotion of the technical and artistic contributions of the surrounding community, whether it is through collaboration project like Peach, more simply through promotion of cooperation between users of different skill levels or through a tighter intermingling between developers and artists.
Martin Poirier is currently studying for a M.Eng in Computer Graphics at École de Technologie Supérieure and on the Blender development team since 2003 Student in Cinema at Collège Ahuntsic with the idea of getting a certificat of Digital Special Effects at the Nad Center afteron, Jean-Sébastien Guillemette got interested in Digital Art as early as 15 years old. Since 2004, he works as a freelancer artist for different companies around the world. Jean-Sébastien is also the main organisator of the North-american annual Blender Conference.
