Within the framework of the problems related to the manipulation of real devices used in an instrumentation and control laboratory on the Internet, it is a question of contributing to the development of methods and effective tools making it possible to remotely use or manage a whole of material or instruments and/or of software simulating the operation of devices not easily accessible (measuring instruments or processes). It is also a question of exploring new ways of organizing and of coordinating the synchronous or asynchronous activities, such that they are generally held in the research laboratories and/or of teaching traditional.

Maarouf Saad dreceived a Ph.D. from McGill University in electrical engineering. He joined l’École de technologie supérieure in 1987 where he is teaching control theory and robotics courses. His research is mainly in nonlinear control, optimization, robotics and remote access control.
