With a $24 million budget over five years, e-Cité is one of two major projects currently underway at the Ville de Montréal and is headed by the Division des relations avec les citoyens.
Among other objectives, this project aims at developing electronic applications complementary to traditional customer assistance channels such as service counters, call centers and first generation technologies such as interactive voice recognition (IRV).
Some of these applications currently in operation will be briefly described: “Info-towing”, “Accident reports” and “GDC-GDT”, the CRM system on which the city’s new direct call 311 phone number is based. An outline of future projects will conclude this presentation.
After a career in international investment promotion with the ex-Montreal urban community, Mr. Brucel has been directly involved in the development and implementation of several e-commerce and interactive voice-recognition applications for the e-Cité and 311 projects.
