he constant technologic revolution that leads the video games industry : 3D rendering, animation, artificial intelligence … is pushing the audio numeric research to another step. Theses researches aim to one single goal: Increase the sound immersion’s feeling and enhance the emotions of the player.
Presentation of two audio researches realized for the creation of the game Splinter cell Chaos Theory developed in Ubisoft Montréal Studio:
- Explanation on the real time propagation and occlusion system build for the game and exposition of the technical and design’s constraints encounter during the production.
- Presentation of a research on sound synthesis linked to object physic’s behaviour, focus on sound synthesis for metal barrels
